Anyone Can Travel, Part 2.

I’ve asked a few questions to some fellow bloggers about how they got started travelling. In this mini-series, I’ll be sharing their answers as well as links to their pages so that you can follow along their journeys.

Our next stop is Vivi of Adventure Your World.

When did you first realize the 8-5 life wasn’t for you?
I have been working in a few student jobs and I always hated to do what other people are telling me to do. I love working and getting things done but I prefer to work for myself. Also, I noticed how many of my older friends just live for the weekend and hate their Job so I never wanted to get into this situation.

How did you begin the transition from normal life to the traveling life?
My parents started traveling with me when I was 5 so I grew up traveling quite a bit. After high school I traveled around the world for a year. This year was so amazing that I promised myself to try everything to make the next year even better which is obviously quite a hard task when you come back from a full year of summer living on your own terms but I managed. I traveled as much as I could even though I missed uni for a few days it was all worth it!

How did your family/friends react?
My family always told me to do what makes me happy and they always support me in everything. My mum works in the hospital with the people having cancer so she knows how fast life can end. I guess that’s why my parents always made sure I fulfill my dreams as soon as possible.

Do you have any regrets?
Can you ever regret traveling ? I can’t! I learned so much more from traveling and being abroad than from my formal education!

What advice do you have for someone who is just getting started?

Don’t think too much about it! Just get started even you haven’t figured out everything yet! You will always come up with new ideas and options along the way.
